Svitlana Levytska: How Her Expertise in Permanent Makeup Helps Others Feel Their Best
Makeup application is a common morning routine for many people of all ages in the U.S. It can be used for all kinds of reasons from hiding blemishes to making features appear fuller. While the results of this process are often beautiful and can effectively enhance faces of any kind, it is very tedious and requires stability and precision.Â
However, there is a way to solve this issue for at least a year: permanent makeup, which involves tattooing specific ink pigments and patterns to create a natural-looking, clean look that does not require a daily routine to recreate and can help anyone look younger with fuller features.
Svitlana’s Journey Into Permanent Makeup
Svitlana Levytska has been doing permanent makeup work for her clients for nearly 10 years. She has had all kinds of clients, including both men and women, who desire to have specific changes made to their bodies via processes such as microblading, freckle tattoos, and scar camouflage.Â
During her time in the industry, she has made connections with many other makeup artists, has worked with several well-known figures, and has participated in several competitions. In 2024, she won first place in the lips-blushing category of the WULOP Championships, a global competition consisting of hundreds of competing professional makeup artists.
Building a Career in Beauty
Levytska’s profession began in Ukraine, where she was born and raised. During her school years before college, she had always had an artistic inclination in all her classes and found beauty in everything she saw.Â
She enjoyed drawing and participated in several art exhibitions, where her art was displayed and drew the attention of several viewers. After high school, she studied at the Academy, where—despite her artistic nature—she studied economics and graduated with a red diploma. At age nineteen, however, she chose to leave the field of economics and work in the artistic field, deciding to be a makeup artist instead.
During her training in makeup application, Levytska participated in several competitions and studied under well-known makeup professionals. However, she had always been interested in tattooing and had a talent for drawing, but still enjoyed viewing and creating beauty. So, she decided to learn the art of permanent makeup. By 2015, she passed her first training, and shortly afterward, began receiving several customers who were extremely satisfied with her work.
As Levytska became more talented, she opened her own beauty salon in Lviv, Ukraine, and began training others in permanent makeup techniques. Not only did her students come from Ukraine, but from countries such as Poland, Austria, and Italy.Â
Her career reached new heights, and she began earning more money, which made her feel proud of her work because she was able to make her clients’ dreams come true. She was not only able to give people beautiful makeup looks but also help people who have been affected by hair loss diseases such as cancer by drawing eyebrows on them through micro blading.
Making Global Connections and a Positive Impact
When the war began in Ukraine, Levytska kept her salon open and continued to serve many customers. The global connections she formed proved worthwhile — in 2024 she received an invitation to the United States from a friend who she met after completing her permanent makeup request. She achieved first place in one of the permanent makeup categories at the WULOP Championships, and since then, she has been mentoring aspiring makeup artists.
Levytska continues to showcase her proficiency in permanent makeup techniques by participating in competitions and teaching aspiring permanent makeup artists the skills needed to become successful in the industry.Â
Her commitment to advancing her skills and those of others in permanent makeup techniques helps her reach her goal of spreading beauty across the globe and improving the lives of others by doing so.
