Chairman of N Brown, Ron McMillan, Announces Retirement Following 11 Years of Leading the Company

After an impressive 11-year tenure, Ron McMillan, the chairman of N Brown, has revealed his decision to retire from the board.

On April 30, McMillan will step down, and during the search for a permanent replacement, the group CEO, Steve Johnson, will temporarily take on the role of chair.

The parent company of JD Williams and Simply Be, N Brown, has already begun the process of finding a new chairperson to take over from McMillan. More details regarding this decision will be shared in the upcoming days.

In recognition of McMillan’s accomplishments, Johnson expressed, “Ron has been instrumental in the company’s transformation, and his role as chair has been immensely valuable. The board expresses its gratitude to Ron for his consistent dedication to N Brown.”

Additionally, the company disclosed that Vicky Mitchell, an independent non-executive, will also step down from the board after the annual general meeting in July to focus on other professional pursuits.

N Brown is actively scouting for a replacement for Mitchell.

Despite anticipating lower sales figures, N Brown remains positive about achieving its profit goals for the year through the adoption of improved margin strategies.
