Boohoo Group’s London Office Location Up for Sale
Boohoo Group is considering the sale of its office building in London’s Soho, a property it acquired in 2021 for £72m.
According to Drapers, the company is engaging with potential purchasers for the 43,963 sq ft office structure situated at 10 Great Pulteney Street.
In order to persist in its operations from the location, Boohoo aims to divest the building and subsequently engage in a leaseback arrangement.
The multi-storey office facility serves as a workplace for 400 to 500 staff members who are part of various London-based brands under Boohoo, such as Burton, Coast, Debenhams, Dorothy Perkins, Karen Millen, Oasis, Wallis, in addition to roles in product innovation, marketing, technology, and group-wide administrative support.
In its current state, the building houses a beauty exhibition area on the ground floor and is poised to introduce a new collective showroom covering 6,000 sq ft in a couple of months, succeeding the closure of its earlier 3,500 sq ft venue at 6-10 Great Portland Street.
This strategic decision aligns with the group’s financiers consulting with FTI Consulting about potential refinancing alternatives for a segment of Boohoo’s £325m debt.
